This first attempt at the first 'How to draw' page. I am not 100% satisfied with the overall finished piece as I feel it is lacking in information regarding how the character is identified at being female and showing the strength that it would have.
Though I am happy with the character itself perhaps it needs additional work, such as showing how the poison is distributed.
I am happy with the challenge the and the tips provided, and the short snippets of guidelines on how to draw and the first one was intended to be as basic as possible, hence there is not much information on how to draw it, as once the ball is completed you can pretty much draw some lines to get the additional details drawn. Maybe it needs more of a guide on how to attempt it, such as adding another line to produce the stem and what angle to draw the metal structures for the leafy limbs.
I am currently in the process of working on the next character and when there are a few pages done I will ensure I give myself a few weeks to change them according to the suggestions listed on this blog. This was it gives me time to step back from the drawing and focus on the content within, even perhaps get a few friends and family to give it a test run, and gathering additional feedback from all levels of drawing.
